Welcome to the forums.

If you go into your address book, your contacts don't show? Is this what you are asking?

Did you ever clear out the J? My thinking is that the J was still in the search and when you hit another letter, it narrowed the search down, and you didn't have any contacts with that string of characters.

For example you hit J, and never cleared it, next you hit Q. The search was then for JQ. Does that makes sense?

Hi Kennyb;

I can't say it is something that happens alot. You just have to be aware of it. Usually when the phone starts acting up and the menus don't work, it is just good practice to pull the battery. The battery pull while the phone is on reboots the device and there is a memory scrub that happens and clears the phone.

Glad you got it working...

H.

Yes, your right on this also. I have had this happen all the time. Not sure if this is what he was dealing with...
