Default Trouble upgrading to OS 4.5

Please Login to Remove!

I have a curve 8330 and I'm trying to upgrade to the new OS, the problem is I don't have internet at my house and when i upgraded my desktop software in preparation for upgrading the OS it says I have to connect to the internet for the first synchronization. Is there a way around this?

My other question is if I do the original phone synching with the desktop manager can I then not worry about the internet to do the OS upgrade?
