Default Curve 8330 phone reception

Please Login to Remove!

I bought my BB 8330 about 6 weeks ago and am finally starting to feel comfortable with its amazing features. I have a couple of probelms:

1. people complain bitterly that the cannot hear me clearly on the phone. my voice sounds muffled no matter how i hold the phone. i never got any complainet with my good old samsung. also the reception is not great and i easily lose calls. is it maybe this particular phone, or is it the 8330?

2. when i send an email from my phone it is often very delayed in delivery. sometimes it can take 12 hours for the email to arrive. i tried sending messages to myself and got the same results. any ideas?

3. my OS is 4.3 should i upgrade? how do i go about it?

Thanks for any feedback you may have for me.

1) If your reception is not great and you lose calls, it could be that you are in a poor area for Sprint coverage. Did you have service with them before, or did you switch to their service recently?

2) Have you tried a battery pull recently?

3) There is an OS 4.5 link stickied in the 83xx forum, but the general feeling around here is if it ain't broke, don't fix it. IMHO, I would work on solving the other problems first before upgrading the OS.
