AutoText replaces br with ( but when I looked it up (because I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do with a ( as a shortcut???) it says it'll replace br with (%B I don't get it...

Anyone?

What's not to get? I don't get it.

If you're typing and you want a parenthesis, you type br and press space. If you want the close paren you type rb and press space.

The %B is sooper seekrit code for the device to translate.

I guess I was trying to make it more exciting than it was. I figured it couldn't be just an open parenthesis because it seems too simple. Why not just type ( but now I know thanks

If you remember it's there, typing br or rb is faster than pressing the SYM button and finding the keys with the parens on them.

Of course, I never remember

Of course Alt+T or Y is just as fast as br and rb.
