Default Question regarding migration from one Blackberry to another

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys,

My sister's iPhone broke. I know she was waiting for the Blackberry Bold, but she doesn't know what to do in the meantime being with a broken phone. I think one idea would be for her to purchase a Curve to use for the next week+, then trade it in for the Bold (using the 30 day return policy) when the Bold comes out.

My only question is the following: I assume to return the Curve and get a Bold she'll need to hand over her Curve before getting a Bold. If this is the case, will it still be possible for her to transfer her data using Desktop Manager in some way--since both phones won't be in her hands at the same time?

Any ideas as far as solutions to this pickle?

Thanks so much!

Yes

Before relinquishing the Curve, she wil backup the data to her Desktop manager and the file will remain in her PC until the Bold arrives.

Thanks so much! When she gets the new Bold, will she be using the "Backup and Restore" feature or the "Device Switch Wizard?" If the former, I didn't know you can restore from one model to another...pretty cool.
