| YES! I'm experiencing it..... this is frustrating!
Does anyone have any contact information for CityNet to confirm whether they are down and when they might be back up?

| all their sites are still down, my email is not working, but I am able to access the internet on my blackberry which goes through their servers, so something is still working on their end. I'm not sure what the problem is at this point, but I hope it's solved later this evening otherwise I'll have no choice but to switch BES provider.
FYI, citynt is located in Buffalo, NY but there is no ph.# listed anywhere which I've always disliked but can't complain due to the cost being only $10.mth. | | Offline

| 22:00 CST- still down.
I called the number that Jibi gave us and left a message on their voice mail to call me back or to post a message on the Forum to let us know what's going on and if they are going to be up and running soon. | | Offline

| anyhow, considering the website was down, i would say that they most likely lost their provider link. not much they could do about that, aside from complain. their domain record was last updated on Tue Sep 20 18:26:49 GMT 2005, which could also explain something - in the event they moved hosting companies and had to update DNS. still doesn't explain the lack of communication of any sort of work.

| I got this email from them...
Greetings,
As you know there have been circumstances effecting our services the last few days, please be assured we are working with our partners to fully resolve this matter asap. As of this morning we have been advised that 2 of our fiber links have been damaged due to current storms. The repairs should be complete by the end of the day. To speed up the process we have redirected most network requests to our sister locations to handle the load. You should see services returning slowly today.
Thank You for your patients.

| I realize that it was an unexpected outage, and it was perhaps almost impossible to send out emails from their end. But I just WISH they would inform us. Like keeping a backup of customer info database somehwere else, so they would be able to contact us in case of outage. I mean 2 days?! That is a little much...
Like what jibi quoted from their website, “We have full fire prevention as well as backup power technologies to provide 100% uptime to our customers.” | | Offline

| I switched to another service because email is vital to me, however they are not honoring any refunds for the rest of my subscription...
Emailing your clients would be top priority, posting it somewhere if you didn't have the database would also be a wise decision. However it's bad business practice for a company not to inform their users, their website is down, and no information is provided. It seems they "dissapeared" and no idea when they would be coming back.
I now know exactly, you get what you pay for. I'm not asking for much, I think I've got 3 months left on my subscription, and I don't want my activation fee back...
It would be good for them to admit their wrong in not notifing us that they didn't just flee and that the situation would be resolved soon and just refund me. | | Offline
