Default [Tech Question] Sending from Multiple Accounts

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys,

Sorry to crap up the General forum with a basic tech question but I haven't been able to figure this one out and my office techies are giving me the wrong answer.

I am using a Blackberry Bold, a Verizon plan, and BES. My email addy has several aliases. I need to be able to choose which alias I send from. (Each alias is a different domain as I have different projects I am working on.) Can anyone help me with this one? I know it is possible but I can't figure out how to do

Thanks in advance and sorry if I'm using the wrong forum!

You are NOT using a Bold on Verizon. Nope, not happening. The Bold is GSM-only and Verizon is CDMA.

Once you have your different email accounts set up you can choose which one to use on each message you send. When you compose the email the top line should be "Send Using", which you can click on and select any of the email accounts on your device.

Oy! With a username like "Flibbertigibbet" and a first post, I think I just fell for an early (late?) April Fools joke.

durrr.....I have a Vodafone Bold. Vodafone is Verizon (sorta) back in the homeland but I guess they're different technologies. Sorry!

So, I only have one exchange server account but I have several aliases. Can I set up each alias as a seperate imap account? Then how do I keep it from DLing my mail 5 times?

No, one account = one alias. For different identities you need separate email accounts. You could set up different signatures in autotext so when you hit certain keystrokes your BB adds different signatures, but the mail will be sent from the same email address each time.
