Default Copy contacts from i860 to 7520 ?

Please Login to Remove!

Hoping someone can help me out here. I have about 300 contacts on my raggedy/banged-up i860. I would like to copy them over to my BlackBerry 7520 so I can retire the i860. I have tried looking around and experimenting, but I cannot seem to find a way to do it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? The way I see it, I can do it 2 ways (since the SIMs are not compatible). (I have a backup of my i860 contacts on my pc in .mdb format)

1) Open the .mdb file somehow (I believe access can open them?) and use an app to cut/paste entries into the 7520. Not the way I really want to go, as it would take quite a while and, as far as I can tell, there is no way to input contacts from my PC - I have to type them directly onto the 7520.

2) Somehow convert and/or upload the backed up .mdb file directly to my 7520. I am not aware of a way to do this (preferred) way.

Oh, I guess there is a 3rd way

3) Manually type in all contacts onto my 7520. This is the way I am desperately trying to avoid.

Can anyone help me out?

Default transferring contacts to your BB 7520

Well, you can do it one of 2 ways.

With the newest software you can transfer your phonebook on to a 32K sim card, pop that 32K sim card into your BB, select address book and sim phone book. After sim phone book has completed downloading click in the trackwheel and select 'copy to address book'

OR

Call BB support and have them put the address book on to your phone, it will take 24 hours to provision. After the 24 hours you can register at nextel.com,addressbook manager, and then download them over the air to your BB 7520.

Good Luck

I guess I will just call support and see. I am not following you on your first suggestion. I want to copy everything from my old i860 to my new Blackberry 7520.

Do you have Outlook? It will let you import an Access file. You shoudl be able to open the .mdb file in Access. You may need to experiment to see how the contacts look in Outlook by exporting a few to see the format then match the format in your mdb file.

Default info from 860 to BB 7520

That will copy your info from your i860 to your BB 7520. I am a nextel dealer and that is the way we transfer info to any BB.
