So I'm tech-savvy enough to know how to work my new Blackberry (Pearl 8100) but there are things I don't know. My work e-mail is on an Outlook Exchange Server and isn't currently compatible with Blackberry. Is there OTA or WAP software I could download that would allow me to access that account?

as long as your exchnage server has OWA enabled, you log into your providers BIS site and just input your email and password and you will get full 2 way sync. Just keep in mind you will not get subfolders, you will get read, unread, deleted and sent items to sync back and forth between your desktop and berry. The BIS is on a 15 minute delay from your desktop to your berry until it detects an email then will be about a 3 minute delay as you keep getting email..

Just be aware that there are some OWA implementations that BIS just doesn't work with. As an example, if you're required to log in to a page before the OWA logon page, BIS won't support your OWA.

Exchange is the mail server
Outlook is the email client

I'm guessing you mean that you don't have BES at work. Not having a BES doesn't mean that you can't get Exchange mail on a BB. In addition to OWA you can forward or use POP or IMAP, depending on what your Exchange admin has enabled.
