Most Today themes have phone log, calender, and messages (Separate or Combined) on the home screen. As far as getting the tasks/notes to appear, this would have to be a custom theme. As for which one, I don't think that you can put either tasks or notes on the home screen and it will show the top entries like phone log, calender, or messages and it will appear only as a clickable icon to launch the app. This is only my thoughts on this without breaking out the Theme Builder and giving it a try.

BTW: Welcome to the forums.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

Welcome aboard.
You should also be able to access your notes by simply pressing "D" from the homescreen

I haven't used these programs so I'm not recommending them but these might work for you:

e-Mobile Software products
not exactly home screen: pocketday.com (I used this but haven't had good luck with it in later releases).

You may want to try the media subfourm here and see about a custom theme. I've seen people saying they'll customize a theme, of course for a fee.

Not all. There are free theme makers, myself included.
