Hi,

I have a new BB 8310. My company will allow me to use their BES but they are highly restrictive in it's use. They will not allow me to cradle the phone on my home computer nor load 3rd party applications.

Question. Both at work and home I am using Outlook. Is there any way I can export or somehow sync. my home phone/address book and calendar to this phone?

I suspect I know the answer but thought someone here may have run into this before and have some suggestions.

Whose BlackBerry is it? Yours or theirs?
If theirs you really don't any right to disregard their wishes.

If it is yours, you can sync personal contacts, etc., by turning off the wireless sync and marking those contacts as personal.

It might be your phone, but it is connected to the company BES, so their rules apply. They lock things down for a reason and trying to circumvent the IT Policy could be grounds for termination.

I would not recommend trying to do what you wish to do. If you absolutely have to have your personal calendar and contacts on the device, then take it off the BES. Also remember, that nothing is personal on a BB connected to a company BES. If they want to see your activity they can.
