I have an 8300 Curve, running OS 4.5.0.81. In the address book, there is a contact that I cannot edit or delete. If I try to edit it, it days something about being Modified externally. I'd I try to delete it, I get the Delete confirmation, but when I click Delete, the contact remains in the Address book. How do I get rid of that contact?

Try a battery pull, then try again.

Also if you have your BB sync ed up with Outlook or have a back up you can try clearing the calendar using the DM.

The battery pull suggestion did not work. How would clearing my calendar affect my contacts?

Sync all your contacts to asci import/export, then delete that contact. Then sync back to your BB and check replace all data.
