Default How do you update the 8700 to 4.2?

Please Login to Remove!

I read about doing this and how it makes it seem as if you have a new phone. What exactly does this mean? I am new at this...

Does this make the 8700 seem like a different, newer device?

Not drastically IMO. It's going to have whatever features it came out of the box with. The OS can't add GPS, WiFi, camera, 3G, etc.

4.2 added some new features but not a whole lot from what I recall.

Wirelessly posted

Download 4.5 instead of 4.2 go to the 8700 forum and go to the top of that forum

What does the 4.5 give you that the 4.2 doesn't?
