Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

This has been addressed more eloquently than I will do right now.
My understanding is that the $44.99 is for BES Corporate users.
If you are a BIS, personal user that will be using your own private device then it will cost you $29.99 per month for unlimited data which includes email and internet. I am in the $29.99 grp.

Comparing BlackBerry Internet Service and BlackBerry Enterprise Server features

Bottom line - unless your company offers BES support, and you would likely know if it they did, you'll want the $29 BIS plan.

You can still get your work email when on a BIS plan, if your company allows access to email via IMAP, POP, or OWA. I have my personal and work emails on my BB Pearl from Verizon on their BIS plan.

The $29 BIS plan from verizon is essentially unlimited...you're allowed up to 5 GB/month, after which they might throttle down your access speed...but you won't get anywhere near 5GB a month unless you're streaming 24/7. I listen to hours of internet radio and podcasts, get emails from 6 email accounts, and browse the web and have never had any problems.
