Please Login to Remove!

I just had a pearl 8100 that is flashing a series of 4 red flashes when I aquired it, and now it is flashing a series of 2 red lights . What do they mean? Disply will not light up. I have all the installation CDs. My phone does not power up. And m y SIM card is a T-Mobile. Can Anyone tell me what I need to do to get the disply to function. The phone is in near perfect condition, but has a shaky power port. Thankyou !

You will have to wipe your device and start fresh. There is something tripping up in the boot process that will not allow the device to power on all the way.

Check out these resources for a detailed guide on how to do this and the various options you have.

Hi Thankyou for the info but my problem is I cannot power up I can only get a series of 4 continuos flashing lights which no one so far has told me the meaning of. The desktop manager does not recognize my phone so i cannot follow the procedures for a reinstall w/ battery or without. If anyone could state exactly what the 4 quick flashing light mean, it might get me on the right path. Thanks Again !

Your OS is toast and you need to reload it. It can't find anything to boot up. See the links above referencing JL_Cmdr. You will need to wipe the device using it (to clean up the bad OS) and reload a fresh copy of the OS. Unless you have a back-up your data is lost but at least you can bring your phone back from the dead.
