How to reregister my blackberry
Please Login to Remove!
Hi,
I have upgraded my blackberry to a Bold. I want to give my old Blackberry to my wife. What do I need to do to allow her to use my old pin for IM and email?
Thanks,
Mike

Make sure the carrier releases the PIN for you so she can register the device.

Cancel your BIS account with your carrier and wipe the BB to remove all the old data.
If it was on the company BES, make sure you also remove the IT Policy. Check out the FAQ article on buying a used BB on eBay.

I'd recommend just transferring your BIS account to the new BB and allow your wife to set up a new BIS account linked to your old BB.
But then, with my carrier, the less interaction with carrier reps the better.
