Question blackberry to the rescue

Please Login to Remove!

The recent events in India where several folks kept aware of the rescue efforts using their blackberry's had a couple of us talking. They reported about a 'network' kept them in touch. Do you think there was an external source that coordinated the communication or is there some way for a blackberry to 'find' other blackberry's in this type of situation.

Never know when it may come in handy.....

There is no way to "find" other blackberrys. They probably just accessed a website or just got info via email.

Maybe they just PIN messaged each other with details. "I'm in room 403, back corner by the sink..." kind of stuff.
