Default Unlocking Curve from Rogers to ATT

Please Login to Remove!

Hello Forum
I am going to be working in the US for 7 weeks, currently with Rogers/Curve
I will un-lock my device, to get a pay as you go service while I'm there, however, how do I access e-mail data,
can I buy a data plan from ATT, or can I still have access to Rogers data, its so cheap to continue with it for this short time,
any thoughts? all accepted,
david

you will pay 5 cents a KB when in the US for data, so i wouldnt suggest that... think about it... at that rate you will pay 52 dollars for a MB.... wow...

you will not be able to get a data plan from at&t unless you go on a monthly plan... there is no pay as you go for blackberry data... not yet anyways...

Wirelessly posted (8310; RammerJammer!)

There is no pay as you go data plan with ATT.

I believe, if you go to AT&T with your own device, you can sign up for monthly service on a month-to-month basis, no multi-year contract. Perhaps a knowledgeable rep can chime in with this info.

To the OP: you might want to ask exactly this question over at Howard Forums in the AT&T section as a lot of reps hang out there.

I asked this question over at Howard Forums and got this reply via PM:

Hey, one of my AT&T reps did this for me and plenty or users on HOFO. Add what ever at&t voice and data plan for it. Heres his information just tell him that you want the sim only contract and tell him Henry sent you. Hes the sales manager at the AT&T store just ask for Kevin. You should probally get a hold of him at the store if hes there he will be able to set you up. If you have any other questions you can ask me or ask Kevin.

The trick is always finding a rep but it seems that rambo47 has done just that!
