Default AT&T getting a BB touch screen - 12-01-2008, 10:45 AM

I was in the AT&T store yesterday and I was talking to the rep. about the BB Storm and asking if they would be getting it in the future. She stated no, but in about 2 months they will be getting a touch screen BB that is similar to the storm. Has anyone else heard this????

Doubt it. Why have we heard nothing about this anywhere else?

Treat your password like your toothbrush. Don't let anybody else use it, and get a new one every six months.

Probably the Magnum or the Pluto. Rumors have been out since mid-October

But most certainly not in the next few months.

Thank you. It would have been nice if it was a FULL screen (like the storm).

If I were Verizon... I'd be upset a 'copycat' device were available via AT&T... What does "exclusively from nnn" mean if they simply wait a few months to release an updated model on another carrier?

To be honest, I'd prefer they didn't make them exclusive... but, I have to figure Verizon paid a pretty penny to be the exclusive carrier in the US for the Storm.

At some point I would expect AT&T to get the GSM version of the Storm. Eventually everybody gets everything.

I've heard the same thing about Rogers, that they are going to be getting a touch screen Berry sometime early next year (early Feb).

The exclusive window on BB is not that long, maybe 6 months. The Storm will be on GSM based carriers and Bold on CDMA carriers by next summer (if not sooner).

I've never seen lifetime BB exclusives and I doubt it's any different with VZW.
