BlackBerryForums.com and BlackBerryFAQ.com are looking for some dedicated volunteers to bring the BlackBerryFAQ back to its past glory. We are missing heaps of information on the 9500 series, the 9000 series, 9100 series and the 8900 series.

To my understanding it is 100% on tom to find FAQer's and I believe he is in no rush as I applied a while back and I am still waiting on a yes or no.

my blackberry screen is completely white. i can receive calls and make calls, but I can't see anything on the screen. Can anyone help?

your phone is water damaged. the corrosion my not have gotten to your whole phone but its defiantly where the flex-cable of the lcd connects to the board. my recommendation is go on ebay and buy a new lcd with a tool kit. take your phone apart and clean the board with 91% rubbing alcohol using a toothbrush and an air can. Put it back together with the new lcd and you should be all set.

Thanks Dacy but I will have to pull my name from the hat (even though I didn't want it to be official) as I recently took over Ubuntu for the entire State (LoCo team and Launchpad team) and got a Jr/Baby moderator position on Ubuntu Forums...

I do hope to see the FAQ get back to it's glory days when JS and I 1st started hammering away at it... We probably put 1000's of hours into it and it rocked

I will still *try* and do some work there if I can get unblocked
