Can anyone help me...finding out..

1) The difference between setting up GMAIL pop3 or imap, does one or other have any benefits or drawbacks..

also I was thinking what would happen if i set up a email address on BIS
twice one pop3 format one imap...

would i get the benefits of both....sorry this might sound stupid..probs is.
