Exclamation In need of URGENT help!

Please Login to Remove!

Hello. I was trying to fix my blackberry, but may have screwed it up even more in the process. It would not rings, profiles was set to loud, all advanced settings under "Phone" set to ring and on high. So, I pulled out the Blackberry battery and sim card, and it won't recognize my password now, and it's telling me to type blackberry, what gives?

Thanks for any help!

Welcome to the BBForums.

what model do you have, certainly not the 8888?

After the 5th wrong PW, it will ask you type blackberry and THEN the next five tries will spell out the PW for you. What you thought was your password might become clear that it was not, so make sure you origanlly were not using numerals where you thought it was letters, or capitalilzed letters, with the shift key down.

After the 10th wrong attempt, your BB will be wiped of all personal data.

Double post, sorry.

Just want to notify that I've solved it, I was on my 9/10 try and entered the correct password, and it finally rings again! Thanks for your information.

Make a backup just in case it happens again and you don't get it right on the 9th try!
