Default My experiences on Data Roaming and question on how to turn off voice roaming?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all.

On my recent trip to Canada, I called CS to find out how much data roaming would cost me, I was told $10 per mb, I then asked them at what increment would Tmobile charge me, every MB? every 1/4MB .................
I never got a straight answer from them as they were transfering my call from dept to dept.
Nonetheless, I went on my trip and came back 4 days later. I incurred a $2.48 data roaming charge, very reasonable, considering I was using IM, BB messenger, and sent 50-60 emails.

Now, I will be traveling to Asia and was told that Tmobile charges $15 per MB usuage. My plan is to not use the voice but data only, because voice is very expensive. Does anyone know how to turn off voice on my 7290 BB?

Any help will be appreciated.

LL

I don't think that you can disable the voice connection but you can go to Profiles and change the notification so that you will not get a ring or vibrate if a call comes in. That way, everything should go to voicemail and you can check it when you get to a less expensive landline phone.
