Default A little help please

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Guys, Im new here so dont know if this is in the right section?

Right, we have a few blackberry's, all 8310's.

I have just had one arrive for my dad, and the phone keeps turning off, only to turn back on moments later. This continues until the phone is turned off.

Is there a simple thing for me to do that will stop this?

Has anyone else had this problem at all?

Also, on mine - I tried to install the Windows Messanger, however it said that IT Software (Or IT something) will not allow 3rd party installs.
I really want windows messanger though, How do i get round this?

Thanks guys!

I guess your berry is low on memory. Do a "Alt" + Right Shift + H and check the File Free figure. If it is less than 12MB then you need some memory cleanup.

Welcome to the BBForums.

It sounds like you have an IT Policy on the BlackBerry. Look at Options > Security > General Settings and scroll to the bottom of the screen under **services**, what does it say?

Where'd you get the BlackBerrys?

Remove the IT Policy per these instructions:
Remove IT Policy - BlackBerryFAQ

The one that keeps rebooting, you might just want to return for your money back now while you can.

Simply wiping it won't remove an IT policy.

But if you wipe one for other reasons (like the constant rebooting), use this method:

The option from your Berry will remove personal items (pics, e-mails, claandar entries). Using JL Commander will wipe it down to the OS level.
