Default For those of you needing a quick copy of Javaloader...

Please Login to Remove!

This is just the javaloader command. Put it in your "%SYSTEMROOT%/System32" folder and you can run the javaloader command from a command line without going to that particular directory. I got tired of downloading the full KDE just to get the javaloader. I figured this would be a quick little fix for someone in a pinch. I have also included a batch file that will wipe your blackberry for you without your intervention. All you have to do is hook up the blackberry to your computer via USB cable and double-click this batch file. (wipe.bat) Let me know if you guys experience any issues...

-=JAVALOADER WIPE=-
:THIS IS INTENDED FOR A QUICK WIPE OF YOUR BB AND NOT AS A DIAGNOSTIC TOOL:

By using this set of files, you comply with the fact that I am in NO WAY responsible for what you may do to your blackberry with this set of files. Use at your own risk.

Javaloader Automated Wiper Download

Instructions:

- Extract ALL files to %SYSROOT%/System32 folder (i.e. c:/windows/system32).
- Navigate to that folder and find the file called "wipe.bat"
- Connect your blackberry to the computer directly into a USB port (NOT THROUGH A HUB!!!)
- Once you connect, you should hear a few Windows beeps telling you it noticed something was plugged in
- Double-click your "wipe.bat" file
- You will see a DOS box showing "connecting to device"...
- After this completes, you will instantly have a freshly wiped BB. When you reboot the BB, you will get an ERROR: 507 code meaning a clean BB. Follow the instructions on www.blackberryforums.com to reinstall the BlackberryOS.

email me @ [email address] with any questions...

Good luck....

I edited the links to show in color for ease of clicking. Also, there's a newer version of JavaLoader available if you download the JDE 4.1. It looks like you're using JDE 4.0.2. Not that it makes a hill of beans difference with what you're doing, but...

Basically, I thought it would make it easier for those needing to wipe their bbs. When I first got mine, I had to wipe it. I had a hell of a time finding the developer's kit. Tmobile would not even tell me where to get it. I did a search on this forum and it showed up nothing. Just a convenience thing I guess...

I used the wipe.bat on a 7290 and got the same error 505. When I launched the desktop manager it seemed like the BB was disconnected, even thought it was connected thru the USB.

So, I just clicked on the application loader and ... it asked me which port I wanted to use to connect the BB with (default option the USB). Clicked ok..and installed the operationg system.

Once finished,..guys...be patient.. it will take a while before the BB boots up again with the new OS installed. U will see the Hourglass rotating for a while.

Hope this can be of any help to everyone who go thru the same process..

Default Similar problem?

My 7230 died (prefetch error) and the desktop would wipe it but then gave me a reconnect error. Initially when I was setting the connection it would alternate forever between usb PIN UNKNOWN and COM1. I clicked NEXT on one of the times it was set for USB and that's how I got the first part of the wipe/install going, but no luck after that. How do I get the USB port selection to stick? What do I do with a BB7230 with no working OS?

To anyone having issues with BB Desktop software, try reinstalling the desktop software after the wipe. I think that will help. if you get error 505, that is actually GOOD as it means the wipe worked!

Turn it on and leave it alone for about 15 minutes and see what happens.

1) Make sure Desktop Manager is not running when you start Javaloader
2) Reboot your PC if that doesn't work, and make sure DM is not started

It's asking for a user name and password to download the file ??
