Default BlackBerry Time off by one hour!

Please Login to Remove!

This has happened to me a couple of times in the past week or so, I look at my BB 8100 and the time is one hour behind. I check date and time source and it's set to BlackBerry. Switch it to Network and my time goes back to the correct time. Switch it back to BB and it goes back an hour. However checking back later, and BB time is once again correct. It's happened three times since last week.

The only reason I use BB as my time source is that in the past it's been more accurate minute wise than Network (AT&T) time. Now though I run the risk of it being slow by an hour. Which doesn't help with appointments and reminders.

Is something going on with the BB time server? For now I'm just going to stick with Network time. Has this happened to anyone else?

Wirelessly posted

When I use the clock on my bold the time is fine but then it has another time displayed that's an hour behind. Makes me paranoid my alarm won't be set for the correct time.

There was a DST Patch available in 2007 when the daylight savings time was changed to different dates or something like that.

Read this for the patch and further information:

Ok now for the first time my network time was off by one hour back. I only realized when I sent a text message and it didn't appear at the top of my message list , but further down showing it as being sent an hour before I sent it.

I looked up the DST patch and since I just upgraded my OS to the latest I think that's not the issue, besides we're not in the window for the DST time issues.

BB 8100
v4.5.0.110

Ok, so now I've figured it out, I think... Each time I synch my device loses an hour, whether the time source is set to Network, BlackBerry or Off.

Is this a known issue?

I'm using Desktop 4.7.0.32
Outlook 2007 (problem started before I installed Outlook however)

I experience the same problem ever since the change in Daylight Savings Time a few weeks ago. I also read about the patch. My Blackberry is relatively new - purchased in August 2008. That patch was issued in March 2007. My question is why wasn't that patch integrated in the o.s.?

Is the time on you computer set with daylight savings time? Because every time you use DM to sync, it also sync date and time.

Regards

Default help me too

I have "time off by an hour" every time I sync. I have DM 4.3 (except when it crashes). I have the DST patch, and have checked the Computer main time and OUTLOOK: Calendar Options, Time zone, Daylight ST. What else can I do? I'm desperate. I have people bumping into each other in my waiting room! (almost--but I'm back to using paper and pencil)
