I am a very new Black berry use and would appreciate some help. I wish to transfer some music files. The instructions say 'open desktop manager and double-click Media Manager'. But Media Manager is not there! Has it somehow not loaded? Would perhaps removing and reinstalling Desktop manager help?

Other parts of desktop manager seem to work.

Thank you. This seems to be a problem with the software I have - or haven't got - on my laptop. I installed blackberry desktop on my PC and it works.

I've given up on the media app from RIM. It is painfully slow no matter what I do. I found just using my phone as a removable drive works 10-100X faster.

I might try finding out what's the newest version, but why bother if I can just copy the files over.

I agree, I never install the DM w/ Roxio. I just enable mass storage mode on my device and use Windows explorer to move files around.
