thanks to marks faq and various threads I was able to upgrade my 7290 cingular branded bb to os 4.0 thanks alot any new upgrades coming up for the os ? But I still cant use my wap without bes take care Antonio

Hi, I'm new to the forum and just introducing myself.
I currently work as a network engineer, but recently inherited the role of Blackberry Admin (last week) as well, so I'm hoping to learn as much from this forum as possible to get up to speed quickly on both BES and handheld device technologies. Both are new to me. I'm just learning to do enterprise wireless activation for new users...guessing there will be a lot to learn on troubleshooting and other things as well...

Just a short intro to say "hi" to everyone, I've being using this Blackberry technology for too long as a user, my BBerries have survived being thrown in 2 swimming pools, 1 football pitch and a river (all courtesy of my wife during vacation time) - I'm sure you all understand

I doubt I can help anyone, but happy to share any experiences (good and bad) using these marvellous ball and chain devices.

I have been visiting this site for the past few weeks and have learned a lot from many of the posts here. I am currently an Exchange Admin in charge of upgrading our 3.6 environment. Currently support 400 plus user's and am looking for ways to make life easier for them and myself. Thanks for the great website.

Just got my BB7250 a week ago. Now that things are working (some tech issues) I am enthused about learning more about the device. I'll probably be around quite often.

Hello folks,

I have a 7230 that I can connect to several computers using the Blackberry desktop software. However, on my home computer it completely fails--the manager says disabled. I have tried everything--new software, new drivers, etc.

Any ideas?

I have had my 7290 for about a week now. I just figured out why I could not connect because I did not have a data plan. Hopefully I will be up and running with no problems this week. I have been a palm user for many years and have gotten tired of having 3 devices (palm, 2way, and cell) to stay connected to the world. I am glad I found this site I am sure I will need lots of support.

New Verizon 7250 here - company issue, and leaving the Treo 650 in the dust (actually Ebay). Have lurked for a couple of weeks agonizing over coverage and model decision (I could choose between 7100/7290 on T-mo or Cingular, or 7250 on Verizon), and - although I need some international coverage (once a quarter or so...) I couldn't justify sacrificing domestic coverage, so stayed with Verizon. (Please can we have EVDO, pretty please?) This is a very helpful site, thanks to everyone's involvment - keep it up, y'all!

Hi all,
I've been surfing on this site as a guest and decided to bite the PIN and hop on to gain more tips and tricks on my BB. I've been a BB user since the RIM 950/957 days, then moved to a Rogers 6280 and finally to a Telus 7510. So far the Telus unit is great for work but the battery life sucks but following Mark's tips I've been "training" the battery but it never lasted as long as the Rogers unit on GPRS. The price you pay for working in a building with lots of concrete.

Well ... I made the plunge ...

I left Palm and I left PocketPC (thank God!) and I'm now in a Blackberry (7230).

I'm a teacher so I'll be very interested in education-related apps ...

I asked a tech question in another forum so I won't bore y'all with that question.

and I hope you know that the 7520 doesnt support SMS you can receive but will have no idea who they are from

I have a BB since Dec. 3rd, 2004. I am fairly new to this Fourm. I have lots of time to read interesting tech Stuff. I love My BB. I started with the Nextel BB 6510. Switched to the 7510 for a few weeks and Purchased the 7520 when it was released. Keep up the good work. I found so much usefull information. Good Luck

Just joined. We're trying to promote BlackBerry Big time in the UK. Its a hard sell but i really think its going / is the killer device and application

We're offering some really neat referral fees. Especially when BES users need say a new handset / network but they already have say a unlocked BB or can handle a new number on the same network.

I just bought a BB7780 off eBay. I have to say that I have had Ipaqs & Palms but this is the PDA I love. No stylus! I love the track wheel. I like the one handed operation. I also love the built in keyboard (I had a Tungsten W until I turned it into a paperweight.) I was giddy when the guy had it for buy now - I debated over it - but I am glad I bought it.

What a fantastically useful site. I honestly didn't know I can do half the stuff I can on my BlackBerry. Got a 7100t on t-mobile (in the uk), and not been disappointed yet! Being able to browse this site on my BlackBerry is incredibly useful too, the amount of software I've picked up OTA is great!
