Hey guys, new BB or rather crackberry (CB) as it's so addictive to use this thing. I'm an Information Security Engineer for a Natural Gas company in the SE of the US. Been a long time PDA user, mostly PalmOS for a major PDA, used Linux on my iPAQ for some time and finally purchased a new PocketPC in November. I've eyed the BB for some time but just couldn't think of a good reason to have it. Then last year my company started to put BB out as our CEO wanted a new toy. I didn't get one and after playing with some at work thought wow, this is cool.. Got a 7250 from Verizon Wireless and at least I got data discounts on my unlimited access via my companies contract - we welcomed discount to be sure!

Hello!

I got my BB 7520 a couple of months ago and hopefully.. hope against all hope that this will stick long enough to last me 1 year. I easily get bored with my gadgets but without ebay auctions.. I'd be swamped with them with nobody to play it.

I don't go for shopping malls to get shoes and clothes and anything girls want (mostly). One thing that is scarry is -- shopping malls are someplace you have to drive to .. while www.website.com is just a click away... which is pretty bad.. co'z the next thing I know.. I can't sleep I JUST HAVE TO GET THAT LATEST GADGET!!!

Probably I'm like my Dad.. who has at least 15 Laptops/notebooks of all sizes and just can't get enough of the lastest technology. But then again we are talking about Asia where all the latest gadgets are released first. Not in California

This is my 9th active phone line (too expensive to cut the others).. and my at least 18 phone in the past 3 years.

I used to have the i860, sony clie PEG-UX50 and my t86i (which serves as my modem for the clie), all in one purse that I can't live without... which I was hoping would last a year.. until I saw the Blackberry 7520.

Love Blackberry even if friends make fun of my new Bulky Buddy hanging in on my pants.. hehe.. I don't think I can live without it.. for now.

Mind them...? Nah.. I love my Blackberry I sleep with it.

Hello all,

Just got a 7250 for work this week after Bell cancelled service for our old flip-top alphanumeric pagers. Like going from a bicycle to a jet fighter.

I'm really interested in finding out how to synchronize data between by Blackberry and the various Linux systems I have. I already use a Neuros MP3 player/recorder as an external USB drive (I record my chorus recordings on -- see http://www.northernligtschorus.com) and would like to do the same thing with the Blackberry.

2 months ago, I didn't even know what a blackberry was. you'd think I was living in a cave!!! I just got a gov job as a computer tech and they handed me the BES and a BB 7510. I am totally addicted. we're small, so I only have 9 users and we have a policy of "if it isn't broke, don't fix it." I like to tinker though, so hopefully the BB will survive it!! This site is awesome. I would be even more lost than I already am if I hadn't found it.

Default query regarding outlook and blackberry

I have just got a blackberry and have been playing around with it when i noticed that although I can synchronise my blackberry to outlook so that if i delete emails from my blackberry it also deletes them in outlook but can it be done the other way around? In other words if i delete an email from outlook how can I get it to delete from my blackberry automatically?

new to the forum. i was first introduced to the world of Blackberry when the former President of our company told me he wanted one (about a year and a half ago). I got him, the exec staff and myself 7230s and I now have a 7100t.

Just got a job in Waterloo, all my customers have blackberries, so I figured I should have one. I don't like to lock into long term contracts so I got an unlocked 5810, figured I would get the data plan and that would be it. I was dumb enough to tell FIDO I had a blackberry and they got rid of my data plan. Should I even bother trying to get a 5810 to work somehow or should I get a more recent one? From what I can tell these blackberry things are fantastic, if they can be made to work.

Thank heaven for this site! I recently started doing tech support at my company I have to admit I had no idea what I was getting into. I'm learning (fast as I can) but I found it very hard to find good info on some of the troubles I've been having. I started with a 6750 then moved to a 7750 and I now have a 7250. Any leads on applications that make this thing even better would be GREAT!

CHEERS!

BBCO,

You're not kidding about the wife. She's torn because it's got a whole lot of my attention but the email push won a us a huge deal in the middle of the night. I'm a small biz owner, no BES but the web client is an incredible service especially if you outsorce your mail server. Here's to the non-corporate guy (fomerly) lovin't it too.

Me too. Have you figured out how NOT to have the sent messages display in the messages list?

Hey all! New Blackberry owner, new user. Just got my Blackberry and Motorola HS850 bluetooth headset a few days ago. Love it so far, but I am just happy to be able to use the basic functions, looking forward to learning more on this forum. Been reading, and picked up some great tips, and interesting reading and reviews. A bit scary reading about all the overage charges though! I am on Rogers in Ontario Canada, and have the unlimited plan for data. I do have a few questions regarding the billing, but will ask in appropriate threads. Just introducing myself, thanks for the great info so far, and hope to be able to provide some in time. Sonny,
