I bought a clean esn Sprint Blackberry 8703e from ebay

I assumed it would be unlocked, coming from a 100%, power-selling ebay company... but before I wait for their e-mail i would like to try to Hard Reset this device.

I have no idea what the password is, and I can't do anything without entering this password, the menu for Unlock / Emergency Call / Cancel comes up and I can not use any of the options or menus until i put this password in.

Any way to totally reset this? I tried calling Sprint they told me i need the password (basically).

Entering the password incorrectly X amount of times should reset the device. Is this not happening?
