so I signed up for twitter last night...now I have the messaging plan with my service provider (Rogers) so I have 10,000 SMS/month and free instant messaging, but no data plan.

1. To update my twitter from my phone I SMS the #21212 with the text I want to update right? Or am I missing another command or something bc I have sent updates to that number as a test and nothing happened.

2. If I d/l a twitter app such as twitterberry or tinytwitter, do you kno if those applications would fall under my free instant messaging or would i be charged for the bandwidth (tho small) that i use?

I'm going to contact customer support at rogers as well but I thot someone here might have already had experience with these issues.

Oh and I'm using a bold 9000 v4.6.0.162

Wirelessly posted (VZW Storm, ATT Bold)

Apps use data plan not your free messaging plan. On twitter you need to set it up so it will accept your mobile tweets linking your phone to your twitter acct. There are many posts on twitter about this issue. Its not an issue with your phone but with twitter and your carrier

yea I had set up my mobile device on twitter & read those FAQs so it looks like I can narrow it down to a carrier issue. Thx for the info!
