Hello,

I've recently purchased a Sandisk 8Gb microSDHC card for my BB 9500 Storm.
When going into Options > Memory the messge that is displayed is "A media card is not presently inserted into this device".

Media card support is ON.
I have turned the phone off and back on.

Should i be prompted when i insert the card ??

My software version on the phone is 4.7.0.78 (platform 4.0.0.98)

Any ideas\ suggestions ??

i'd suggest plugging the card into your pc and formatting it from there for the first time.

I finally used my friends samsung phone to format the card.
However inserting back into my phone still the same message is returned.

"A media card is not presently inserted into this device"

Im thinking there is something wrong with the phone, brand new less than 2 weeks ago but the micro SDHC card works fine in an other phone.

Any other ideas ??

Are you installing the card correctly in the device?

That was my first warning sign that I was about to have trouble with my media card. I suggest you copy all files off it now.

As for reformatting and copying the files back, that's up to you -- you can do it now, or you can do it later.
