Default Very long text message delay

Please Login to Remove!

I am experiencing problems with text messaging on my curve. Sending texts are no problem, other people receive them quickly. However, there is a very long delay for me receiving messages. This delay has been 6 to 7 hours at times. Example, text will come in at 7:36 PM, I open the text and it has a time stamp of 1:18 PM. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

SMS delay is most probably a carrier issue. Try contacting the customer care and discuss your problem with them.. you may want to do a battery pull before you call them and check whether or not the same problem exists.

Wirelessly posted (3G= Chuck Norris Speed)

Likely a carrier issue? Could be your carrier or the other persons carrier or a combination of both. SMS delivery is not guaranteed by any carrier

x3 -- extremely unlikely that it has anything to do with your BB. SMS is normally quick but there are no guarantees. I've had SMS messages that were:

- Instantly delivered
- Delivered with a short delay
- Delivered several hours later
- Delivered a full day later
- Never delivered

If you can, I recommend using PIN messaging instead. Of course, that requires that your recipient is on a BB as well.

Definitely give your carrier a call to look into this though.
