What's the easiest way to determine if MDS is enabled on a corporate BES? I'm not sure who even admins our BES, but I receive email via our corporate Exchange server no matter where I am so I know the server is lurking about somewhere. Specifically I want to get some form of ICQ abilities, however when I tried a client I found a serious lack of service book on my BB.

Talk to the IT guys, if you don't know who admins it, I'd start with them. If you can't reach them, my best guess is to download soemthing such as Blackchat, which is an ICQ only client, try to connect using it, if you connect fine, then it's MDS enabled, if not, it probably is not.

Sorry I can't offer a hard set solution, but that'd be my guesses to start with.

you can also simply cradle your BB and it should download OTA to your handheld if its enabled for your user account.

also, keep in mind that they may have MDS enabled for the server but not for your particular user account. i have MDS enabled on our server, but i've only enabled it for 3 total users.

I could be wrong but when you enable the users for MDS, an extra internet browser will show up (assuming that you have the module installed). If MDS is off, the icon would disappear on your next sync.
