Do you have backup file? Try to wiping device, install OS and restore data.

Your mistake was taking out the battery. The phone was performing a wipe, which it didn't complete successfully, hence your phone is now in a semi-wiped state.

As mendez777 says, you will have to do an OS install.

Definitely do not pull the battery during a wipe.

Also, if you haven't been backing up and/or syncing you'll soon see why you should be. Good luck!

You can do it yourself by following the instructions in the sticky at the top of the 8300 forum for your model. If you have a Curve from Sprint, you have the 8330, not the 8180 (which doesn't exist).

Download and install the device OS to your pc as Juwaack68 advised and remove the vendor.xml file.

Once that's been completed, then try following these steps:
What to do next if Jl Cmder will not connect and wipe - BlackBerryFAQ

Be patient, it may take multiple attempts before your PC detects your device.
