hey guys,

this is my first posting on BB forums and i'm real excited actually.
i was wondering if you guys could help me a little.
i don't know if this has already been answered, but i tried to look around for it but was unsuccessful.
i recently just bought a BB 8300 Curve on the Bell Mobility (CDMA) network privately and thus didn't need to get the Data Plan.
i wanted the phone actually for the text pad. i sms text a lot as it is unlimited throughout north america for me.
however, as i was getting really interested with the phone's capabilities and softwares for it, i was wondering if i could get any softwares at all for it?
i know theres some kind of a gps software but the phone didn't have it operating or pre-installed.
are there any softwares that i could get? or do i need the data plan to access and use those softwares?
in essence, i'm trying to use the most out of the phone without the data plan.

thanks a lot you guys, and have a good one!

Without a data plan you get phone and text messages. That's all.
