Default How often do you hard reboot your Berry?

Please Login to Remove!

Just curious how often users reboot their Berries to get new network information such as PRL's, or just clear out the RAM? I try to do it about once a week if I remember.

By pulling the battery. I usually run my 7520 for about 3 weeks before I run into a situation where it is used for testing and then I have to reboot. Unless, you see weird or slow behavior, no need to reboot.

I end up doing one about every two days. They alternate between voluntary hard resets due to erratic behavior and involuntary hard resets as described by murpheous above. I have a nice new dent on the bottom right from my last hard reboot.

So far, about twice in 12 months (so each 6 months or so). Most of my users (7510s or 7520s) get about the same uptime as well. (often due to a battery swap or OS update, etc). Compare that to the Treo650!

It seems that the 7520's need a hard reboot fairly often (every other week or so) while the 7280s/7290s hardly ever need it...

Wirelessly posted (7100t (T-Mobile UK): BlackBerry7100/4.0.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 UP.Link/5.1.1.3)

At the moment, I find that I'm rebooting mine several times a day, due to me installing third party apps and removing them all the time. For normal use however, I do it maybe once a month. I find I have no problem in leaving it on or in standby. I only usually need to do it when my BB starts glitching (which is extremely rare) or when it starts to run very slowly.

The first 6+ months I owned by Blackberry, I never had to reboot or turn it off. Then, I upgraded to v4.0.2.37. Now, I have to reboot it once a month.

Only when i remove any third party installations that i am not happy with and i seldom install those to begin with, so short answer almost never.

Twice since May 2005. Palm & Pocket Pcs eat your heart out. This thing may not do it all, it just does what it does very well!!!!!
