Default green flashing led

Please Login to Remove!

Just got my first bb pearl 8130. Lots of questions.
How do you get rid of that infernal flashing green led light?
Why is it on sometimes and not others? The help section says it indicates it is in the sprint service area. Well I am in the area now and for the first time it is not flashing.

I can't find an "airplane mode".

Thanks

Airplane Mode is simply when all data connections are turned off. You access this via the Manage Connections program, the icon for which is the antenna symbol. Simply turn off all connections and you're in Airplane Mode.

For the green or red flashing LED you can turn it off via Options > Screen/Keyboard. You can turn the blinking LED notification on or off for the various communications features via Profiles. Under each email address, BB Messenger, etc, you can choose to have the LED "flash" or "none" under Repeat Notifications.

Wirelessly posted

As mentioned above Options - screen/keyboard and set the LED coverage indicator to "off".
That will turn off the green LED unless you have a low battery.
