The verizon tech guy added in a pay as you go plan for my BB so I wouldn't have the data. I bought the device for the PDA and as a bonus the phone with it.
Call Verizon and get them to disable data completely, so that your phone works completely in a voice-only mode. BlackBerry typically does background data operations (a lot more than other cellphones) that cannot easily be disabled, so you need to put a data block on your account. (I don't know if Verizon allows data blocking, you'll have to find out)
(Note; The 7750 model is the slowest BlackBerry ever released. The 7250 would be much better.)
