Default Sync to 2 computers: 1 BES and 1 NON-BES

Please Login to Remove!

I use a BB 9000 (Bold). I presently sync via USB cable to my home computer (Windows XP Pro) using Outlook 2003. I sync my Calendar, Contacts, Memos and Tasks.

I am now working at a company which supplies me with a Windows XP Pro laptop running Outlook 2002.

I can join the BES and be able to sync my Bold (same applications: Calendar, Contacts, Memos and Tasks) to the work laptop wirelessly, but how can I continue to sync to my home computer as well?

I believe that when I set the BB to sync wirelessly, it will not allow me to sync at home. Is there a workaround?

That is correct. Once it is set to sync over the air, you can no longer do a wired sync.

You could go into the options of Messages, Calendar, Address Book, etc and set wireless sync to no, then do the wired sync.

So then; can you do a sync at the home computer via Bluetooth? Or is there some other way? There MUST be some kind of workaround that does not involve changing all the setting each time.

I don't believe so. I have never tried to sync via bluetooth.

What are you trying to accomplish by doing this?

There's only one way for this, the answer is on the first reply of this tread, you need to change it manually on each application to Wireless Sync "No" and sync with you home computer, then change it back.
And remember, you will get on you home computer everything from you work computer and on your work computer everything from your home computer.

Regards

Nope. Also make sure that Desktop Manager at home isn't installed with the BES option or you'll have problems.

I'd acutally recommend keeping your personal BB off their BES. Let them supply you with a BB if they want to. It's really best to keep personal and work stuff separate IMO.

You can also give our product a shot - we can sync an unlimited # of computers and an unlimited # of BB's together (just the contacts/cal/notes/tasks all OTA of course). Let me know if I can help....

How would this work if one of the computers is at home, regular pop3 mail; and the other, at work is BES. If this costs $4.00/month for 2 gb, how can I figure out how much I have stored on my BlackBerry? I assume that the BES will forward my email to me?

Hello!

Just so I don't hijack this thread, please email me / [email address]. In short, think of us as a sync service for everything but your email (so take email out of the equation)...hope that helps!
