Default Is the internet browser painfully slow for you?

Please Login to Remove!

It is really really slow and Im trying to figure out what the problem is, cause I know this cant be right. I can barely access these forums on my BB, it says "Running script..." "Loading..." "Requesting..." and there is a clock constantly loading in the middle of the screen.

I try to press escape or end, but nothing happens for about 30 seconds, then it will finally respond and escape out of there.

Whats the problem? This is annoying

It depends on the web page. If you are going to a page with a lot of scripts, it will be slower. You could check your browser options. In the browser, go to options > browser configuration and make sure you have 'support javascript' checked and so on.

Edit.. this forum does not work well on the browser. You should go to the wap site, wap.BlackBerryForums.com

You can even get a shortcut for it here:

So its completely normal for some threads on this site to take up to 3 minutes to load fully?

Also what does OTA stand for?

Wirelessly posted (VZW 8330)

I think my browser is actually quite fast, especially on the BBF wap pages. It almost never takes more than about 10 seconds to load a page on the wap site for me.

OTA = Over The Air

I'm too impatient to wait for this forum to load, so I don't bother. Actually it usually just hangs so I stopped trying. The wap site loads very fast. OTA means Over The Air, meaning downloading and installing directly to your Blackberry from the web.

You could try Opera Mini. I've found it to be better than the BB Browser in some regards.

I suggest ALWAYS looking for WAP alternatives to the sites/forums you visit. It will substantially improve page loading time and make your overall experience much more pleasurable. As stated, the WAP blackberryforums are incredibly fast and I'm sure you'll be finding more and more of your favorite sites offering the convenience soon, as has been my experience.

Perhaps a read of the User Guide, our FAQ and Stinsddog's Tips is in order?

I do find the BB browser to be painfully slow at times. I use Opera Mini--no need to use WAP sites with it.
