I have a blue circle with yellow in the middle with a 1 next to it and don't know what it is. Can anyone help

According to the manual, it is a browser notification.

Did you read the information in the link I posted?

From your Messages folder, press the menu key, select View Folder.

Check all of the folders listed, especially Browser and WAP messages. You should see an unread message there.
