Default Limits on Micro SD Chips?

Please Login to Remove!

I have a new Blackberry Curve 8900. I understood it would take up to 32 gig of memory, but now I learn that it is in one card only.

As I look in Amazon, I see 2g MicroSD cards and 4g and 8g MicroSDHC cards. Is there any problem with the high capacity cards?

Some of them are called "Class 2". What does that mean?

Oh, and prices don't make any sense.

Thanks,

Dave Hay

Welcome to the forums.

There's no issue with MicroSDHC cards.

This should help you out.

The Class rating refers to the speed of data transfer.

Class 2 = 2 MB per second
Class 4 = 4 MB per second
Class 6 - 6 MB per second
