Just got my bold 9000 and want to get my outlook working with email being recieved and synchronised like all the clever people I see in London! BUT no idea how to do it. Loaded up the desktop manager - tried install email on the device but getting nowhere. Help help help

Do you have a data plan?

First you need a BB data plan, as said above.

Second, email doesn't sync using BIS. It is pushed to your device about 15 minutes however.

no idea just got the thing from Vodafone and no further plan was mentioned

What is BIS - I want to receive emails on my bb and then sync them with my Outlook on PC - I am sure this can happen Got desktop manager loaded but just haven't got started with the email on BB at all. I feel stupid!

Just to be clear (again) email does not sync if you are on a personal BB data plan. Emnail once set up properly is pushed to the device about every 15 minutes. Since you are new to BB, please read your user guide and our FAQ. That should answer many of your questins.
