Default Remote Application Deployment (S/W Distribution)

Please Login to Remove!

Can someone let me know if applications can be installed on blackberry devices remotely ?

Catering the large blackberry deployment needs, there should be some way by which administrator can install / deploy new applications or application upgrades on all the blackberry devices from a central location.

Someone knows the way this can be done ?

Any third-party softwares / application management suites that allow to do the same ?

BES 4.0 will allow you to 'push' software to a device. I have TeleNav set up on our BES and when someone needs it, I just push it to their device - much easier than having to walk some of our users thru downloading it (some even struggle with the OTA download....).

Thanks. Few doubts,

1. Does BES 4.0 allows this 'push' over wireless medium ? OR devices have to be in serial connection ?

2. Does user has to perform some steps to install the s/w on device ? OR push takes care of the same ?

its wireless push delivery, and there is no end-user interaction aside from their handhelds pausing and hourglassing from time to time.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.
