Default BB Frozen, Nothing works, Battery pull = no help.

8330, 6 months old was working fine. Put it in my pocket for 10 minutes or so then took it back out-- black screen as if on standby but it wouldn't wake.

Pulled battery. Phone reboots normally but still no keys work and it quickly has a dark screen again (as normal if not in use). Changed batteries, plugged into charger, it always appears to boot normally, then nothing happens, nothing works...

Restated numerous times then discovered that plugging into external power wakes screen and confirms phone is not actually shutting down and when the screen comes on from plugging / unplugging, the plug indicator correctly shows if power is connected. Auto dimming of backlight still works.

Red light shows when I have emails, etc., count changes for them as well. Incoming calls show up on screen but there is no way to answer them. Display shows each missed call properly. Can't check some things easily as the phone was on silent when this problem began.

Very simply, the phone appears to be acting normally except that I have absolutely no way to interact with it-- no trackball action, keyboard keystroke or even side or top key press does a thing.

The one thing that might be unusual on the screen is that the volume setting item (top right) is always highlighted, as in it should open if I pres the track ball, (but the track ball does nothing when pressed). Still, the fact of the matter is I don't know what is normally highlighted when I start up-- I just scroll to what I want and select it...

I posted this problem in 8330 forum earlier but wonder if this is more general and I'm in a real jam-- I need this working tomorrow. Sorry to post twice but any help would be MOST appreciated!

Default

The more I think about this, the more I'm wondering if there is one connector that connects to the entire keyboard as well as the keys on the side that could have come loose though nothing was dropped or anything either-- is that something that should be checked?

Or may be this is still under warranty and I just need to take it to a sprint store tomorrow? Does anyone know the warranty length? My 8330 is roughly 6 months old-- looking for the paperwork but that could take hours to locate...

Default Problem Solved... maybe?

After way too much discussion, Sprint has promised to send a free replacement 8330. I'm told this problem is uncommon. (Just my luck...)
