What is this crap!?! I re registered my phone again when 2.6 BIS came out and imap was working flawlessly. A week later, mail is delayed by up to 15 minutes again. I thought this was fixed in 2.6? Anyone else noticing this?

The new syncing is driving me nuts. It has actually resulted in literally hours of lost time for my company, which uses Gmail's business product.

I noticed the same thing. I changed my setup when 2.6 came out and it worked fine. However, the last couple of days mail is, as you say, up to 15-20 minutes delayed.

I just went back to the standard bis mail setup and I'm still getting all the same features but with instant email.

I'm also being delayed by 15 minutes at least. What do you mean "standard BIS email setup?" I really want to get this fixed.

Oh, and it only happens on one of my Gmail (Google Apps) accounts, not the others.

If you read the instructions on Google for IMAP on BB it says to enter the email address without the password when setting up imap on the BB. Then you add the imap.google.com server address, password, etc.

The standard way of adding your email to the BIS system is to add the email address and password.

I see absolutely NO benefit to using the imap setup instructions. Just enter your email address and password on the first BIS screen and add as normal. You will still get the read/delete syncs from the device to the mailbox. Syncs from the mailbox to the handheld don't work in either setup. Maybe some day we'll get that but for now it's not to be.

I tried entering in my username and password but ever since BIS 2.6 it never recognized it as a Google Apps account, yet after I inputted my settings and set the account it, it was push email. 2.6 has really made me mad.

I think it's back to normal speeds...who knows...will keep people updated.

It seemed to be hit or miss for me. There is actually a method to when the bis service polls for service on these non-instant accounts. It's every 15 minutes. If it finds new mail then it polls every 5 minutes...etc. Sith_Apprentice had a post with all the exact numbers.

That is how I set up mine and have not had any problems. I had to resend my service books after 2.6 came out but have had no other issues/

guess i need to go back to regular old pop. This IMAP SUX!

Actually going back and re-adding it the normal way witout adding imap.google.com makes email imap work for gmail..lol

Yeah, addint in the normal way seems to be best and gets you all the same features and services.
