My 8330 died. Sprint sent me another one. I can tell the old one is working (it shows calls, emails, etc.) but I cannot use any control-- keyboard and trackpad are dead. I did go ahead and move the service over today-- perhaps a mistake but I needed a working phone.

So far , the only way to wake the screen is a reboot or plugging/unpluging the power to USB.

All I want to do is get all the data off that I can. I'm a Mac user (though I can get to a PC) so all I've done so far is keep the phonebook in sync from my laptop and BB.

In fact the key thing I want to do is get some pics and videos that were stored internally which had not been backed up thought ideally I'd love to move over all my settings, email accounts, etc.

What are my options-- is there a how-to posted somewhere about this? Again, I'm a Mac person but I can get to a PC for this if that will help.

I think your best bet and probably easiest way would be to go to a PC, and install Desktop Manager. If the device is detected, you could use the Switch Device Wizard, and it will copy all of your old settings/data over to your new device.

I'm with Jsconyers. Desktop manager is the way to go. You can use the switch device wizard or simply make a backup of the old device and then restore it to the new device.
