Default Alltel/Verizon to Sprint Curve?

Can an 8330 used on Alltel be converted to use on Sprint? I want to ask here so I don't sound dumb taking my phone to the Sprint store.

I have to leave Alltel and go to Sprint due to work reasons, and where I live the wait for Blackberries is three weeks to a month.

No, Sprint does not allow any device on their network other than their own.
