Saw that voice control was roled out for the Nextel 7520. Are there any hardware limitations in the 7250 that would prevent similar functionality from being "ported" to that device in the future?
if you go to mobilevoicecontrol they have it. you can dl it right from your phone or install it from comp. you must upgrade your OS, but the trick is to go through their website for the upgrade. I had trouble finding it by going direct to BB. Good luck.
Ok, i tried to install this and its not working; I emailed their techsupport so lets see how long it takes to get a reply. I have a 7520 running the unlimited data plan from Nextel and a voiceplan; my handheld is at v4.0.0.249 (Platform 1.4.0.40) and my local computer is Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2
After installing the program, I try to launch the program from the screen and get an hourglass for 15-20 seconds, then the following error box pops up:
Error starting VoiceControl Class 'net.rimblackberry.apipdap.PIMListListener2' not found
The only option it gives me is to select OK and it goes back to the home screen. I try to click the direct-talk button to use it as instructed, and no dice. I uninstalled it, rebooted the device, and reinstalled it, no dice. Same error.
installed it last night.......it's pretty cool. i just don't know if i want to pay another $5 a month on top of telenav and mobile to mobile, for something that should be a software feature of the bb os. in summation, cool toy but i'm not a serious enough road warrior to need it yet......that could change though, so, glad it exists.
I loaded this on my 7100i and it works fine. I have yet to play with it enough to find any complaints. I think I did hear some garbeled speach on one of the selections in the help menu but I need to go back and verify that.

Well I did discover that the audio on the calendar portion of the help menu is garbeled. I contacted the makers and the response I got was "I guess our quality control missed it"....so I asked if their was going to be an update to fix this error and I have not recieved a response yet. I will post again when I hear from them.

I loaded yesterday and love the app so far. Only suggestion is when trying to compose an email, it takes 3 minutes for it to actually compose. Other than that, the monthly subscription sucks. I would much rather just buy the program.

Be careful guys... I uninstalled it from my 7100i and now my BBweather and BB411 apps won't work. I've even reloaded all software on the device to no avail.... something really messed up here!
